Hertz wanted the Stansted Airport Concession to be an enjoyable experience for customers especially during busy periods. The concept was based on journeys, the customer journey through the store and their journey in a Hertz rental car.
The aim of the graphic was to help pass time in the queue by giving the customer a sense of place. The graphic was installed in two pieces, the background was printed on to a flexscreen and mounted to a lightbox, the front buildings were screen printed to the back of glass. There was a 100mm gap between the two elements, as a result the image moved depending on the angle it was viewed from.
